Mark
Burke
Mark has been a personal trainer and studio co-owner in the Sewickley area since the early 1990's after graduation from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Exercise Science. He also has a degree in computer programming. His hobbies include 7 years of combined training in Karate/Taekwondoe. He also participates in adventure racing, mountain biking, roller hockey and golf. He has competed in the Rachel Carson Trail and 24 Hours of Canaan Mountain Biking Weekend and various other sporting events. He has received 1st place finishes from sparring in Karate and Taekwondoe tournaments and roller hockey. Placed top ten out of 186 participants in the ½ Rachael Carson Challenge. Being active gives him an advantage as he is not just giving the client textbook guidelines, he experiences many of their sports. The father of a 15 and 9 year old he is involved with Cub Scouts, softball and Little League. His next step is to obtain his black belt from the Sewickley Martial Arts Academy (ATA) and still competes at high level.
He believes in the benefits of exercise, diet and health because it is the way he lives. He insists on eating "clean" which includes lean meats, veggies, fruits and whole grains. His clients know he is not just giving them guidelines from a textbook diet regimen, but from his daily life experience. He would like to stress that fitness is for everyone, it is not just for the young, athletes, or injury rehabilitation. Mark has trained state champion basketball and hockey players, nationally ranked athletes in tennis and squash and Stanley Cup champions. Mark teaches his clients to set realistic goals and to work hard away from Forma on the diet and healthy lifestyle issues: sleep, stress and all the important cardiovascular fitness. He has worked with several corporations on "biggest loser" events to promote corporate fitness. Whether training clients or challenging himself, he has one firm goal, to drive hard to achieve results. Babe Ruth said, "Every strike brings me closer to the next home run." You too can excel and achieve tasks and get results you never thought possible at Forma, with Mark as the coach.

ACE and NASM
certified personal

around two very
simple principles.
"There are no short

Vince
Imbrogno
Vince actually
started training at
Forma with Mark
Burke when he
realized the toll
that the corporate
lifestyle was
taking on his body.
Long days behind a
desk and evenings
spent with clients
at dinners or
sporting events
complete with giant
size nachos and
beer were beginning
to make him feel
heavy and
unhealthy. He
decided to make
some serious
lifestyle changes.
He gained strength,
flexibility and
cardiovascular
endurance with Mark
at Forma as well as
some small diet and
lifestyle changes,
he was pleased to
not only feel
great, but see the
results of his
efforts. He was so
impressed with the
improvement in his
own fitness level
and quality of life
that he decided he
would like to help
others to improve
their health and
achieve the results
they desired. He
completed his ACE
training and
obtained
certification in
2007 and now enjoys
sharing with his
clients how fitness
training improved
his life and will
improve anyone's
quality of
life.
